Post Body

So for a living I work on electronics found in GM trucks. There's a couple programs that I use for my work, one that I use multiple times a day. I also have a bidirectional scan tool that I use in combination with these 2 programs. My device and software don't have a linux version. I tried a VM but the performance was putrid to the point that its unusable because its so laggy it could brick a device. I tried wine compatibility layers which did let the program launch, but I found out I can't use a usb device with it. Now the device does have open source drivers and the software I use is also open source. They're written in C# using the dotnet framework. How would I adapt these to make them work on linux so I can stop dual booting? I am using a desktop with 24 GB ram i7 8700k and a 1080 ti. My scan tool is the obdxpro GT. I'm using Arch linux
