A little bit stuck on what to do next.

I’ve beat the first two dungeons, rescued BowWow and recovered the 5 feathers from the castle. Now I’m not really sure what to do next?
I feel like I’ve been through the map (as far as I’m currently allowed anyway) a couple times over.
Whenever I call Old Man Ulrira, he tells me to buy a shovel and dig. I already returned BowWow, so I’m kinda digging at random hoping for the best.
Any tips on what I’m supposed to do, or where I’m supposed to go next? I haven’t made it to Animal Kingdom yet.
