The people who runs LinkedIn can't be serious? I've been on there for years, just opened it up again when looking for a way out of my current job. But no matter what I put in my job preferences I never get any "matches" that actually match.
Language - I know Swedish and English. Still I ONLY get "match" with jobs for Portuguese, Greek, Dutch, German etc. NO Swedish. Still the same companies has positions open for Swedish, but LinkedIn sees me as a better fit for a job in a language that I do not know a word of. Location - I want to work at the office, but same as the language. The only "match" is remote or hybrid, even if they have openings for on-site. Skills - they show what skills are a match, sure they are correct but then on the list of skills the job requires there is a bunch that I have in my profile which for some reason is not matching. Positions - NONE of the "matches" are for the position that I'm looking for a job in.
HOW does LinkedIn match your profile with job openings? Is it just random or based on some weird calculation that have absolutely nothing to do with my profile?
Closed my account since it feels more like social media than an app to look for a job. Hell, I even see posts that has absolutely nothing to do with what and who I follow or what I've put in my profile.
