Why Can’t I Embed Images In Articles?

When I click on write an article it does not show the rectangular icon with the symbol at the beginning of every paragraph that lets you embed images in the body of the text. So I can’t change the positioning of the images in the article or wrap text around them. It only shows an image button in the corner of the tool box up top. I can add an image like a cover with that, but I can’t do anything else to it. I can’t move it to the side so it’s not in the center of the page, or wrap the writing around it so it looks better. Anyone know why? I’m on MacBook Pro 2022.
