I just saw a comment on a Facebook Moms group (which are always a fascinating microcosm of all the good and all the horrors of human society, for any lurking anthro enthusiasts). In the comment, someone spelled “bitch,” as “bitxh.” Because you can only spend so long breastfeeding a sleeping, stuffy-nosed baby before you cave to any entertainment and human interaction, I commented, “This is the internet, you can swear here.” The original commenter came back at me that she didn’t want to get vulgar. I then dipped out, because I came to my senses and realized I don’t want to engage in Facebook mommy group wars.
However, I’m now wondering where the line is. Where is it personally for you, reader of this sub? Where do you think it is in general for most people these days? Any anecdotes? Any research. I’m super curious. Thank you.
