I was looking for a sub to post this, just for shits and giggles. I'll let the mods decide if it's relevant.
Anyway, know how the guy that came up with esperanto wanted to create the simplest language to learn and to be spoken, taking good things from a variety of languages? Who wants to do the opposite of that with me, as a thought experiment? Here's a few examples of languages I know a bit of and the worst things about them.
1)French. Let's gender everything, first of all. And put lots of silent letters everywhere. Except for liaisons, of course, then you say the letter. Oh of course, there's this general rule that every rule has a very stupid exception.
2)German. You know what we need? Cases. Cases out the wazoo. So let's add a THIRD gender. Just think of the number of declinations!
3)English. Diphtongs. Diphtongs everywhere. When I see a word written, I must have no idea how it is pronounced. The letter A is pronounced ey. Let's add ways to pronouce "ough" the Brits never dreamed of.
Bonus 4)Japanese. I've heard they use different words for counting different things? Sure, let's add that. Also maybe we need more than one alphabet?
Please forgive my addled brain, but I had fun writing this.
