Constructions and Compositionality
Post Body

So I just started reading Goldberg's A Construction Grammar Approach to Argument Structure and in it a construction is defined as a form meaning pairing where some aspect of this pairing is unable to be predicted from its parts or from other previously established constructions. Is this equivalent to saying that constructions occur where compositionality stops to some noticeable degree?
