How to record with the line 6 PODv2.0

As title says, I have been banging my head against a wall with this. I recently got my old bean out and wanted to play with it a little. I have a scarlet solo and I have used other pedals/modelers like this one before through it no problem, but for some reason the bean just doesn’t work on it (it still works, headphone quality is amazing) what am I doing wrong? From what I have seen I can record mono, so I have my scarlet set to mono, switch on Direct, through right channel into the instrument in on my scarlet but when I go to record… nothing. Any advice would be amazing as I’m slowly going insane over this
