Post Body

Hey, guys so my engine is water locked due to going through a large amount of water going off a off ramp off the highway.

I am having a shop take a look at my engine. To see how bad the damage is. I was thinking this could be a good opportunity to build my 4.6 2v. Like replacing my timing chain due to it has 290k miles on it. Plus I was also thinking of installing stage 2 comp cams with the steel retainers and bee springs along with some new rockers and, adjustable cam gears ⚙️. But with the stage 2 cams I'd need at least 3.73 gears. But I was thinking of just going with 4.10 gears.

But here's the thing all of these mods. On American muscle is costing around 3k.

And in the end I'm not sure if all these mods are really make that much of a difference in power.

Plus if I did that I was thinking of also doing a 5.0 stroker kit. That will cost me around 3k as well. So, all and all is looking at 6k just in parts. That's not even talking about upgrading my fuel system.

So, I was thinking of just doing a gen 2 or gen 3 coyote swap. I know that f150 motors are cheaper. But I want a mustang coyote. Anyone have any thoughts.

Also, if I do end up going with a coyote swap. Which one is the better plant form and, how much am I looking at for installing it. And is there any extra parts I'd need to complete the swap.
