In terms of both durability and function which is better?

I use my lightsaber for actual sparring from time to time. As such I currently have a ultrasaber with a heavy grade blade. I'm thinking about ordering my next saber and I like some of the functionality displayed in the demo videos for the NeoPixel string blade. If I order a new one with full sound board which would be better for sparring? A diamond controller with a heavy blade or a ultra profile zero with the string blade? String looks cool, but will it hold up? Do I really lose a lot in terms of features by sticking with something I know works in sparring?
