Hey there,
I am designing a custom lighting application and I am running into a dead end and I'm hoping this subreddit can help answer a few questions. I can't find a source for the prisms that seem to be common in high end moving head stage lights.
I should say I have found one source on Alibaba, and I have a MOQ of 500 with no samples available. The other options run about $100-$500 for a glass lens, which appear to be for commercial use. Neither are really suitable.
1) Do you guys know the actual name for those prism lenses? Any article I have read on prisms doesn't actually cover this specific type.
2) Do you know where to source those lenses without the rotating gobo assembly that usually costs approx $75?
3) Do you know of any good reading I could further my knowledge on this subject? Most things I search return to a refracting style prism that turns white into colors, or rotating a light beam in a specific pattern...but not splitting 1 beam into multiple identical beams.
Thanks!
