Adding LIFX Lights to HomeKit
Post Body

Iā€™ve tried repeatedly with my Lifx White lights to add them to LIFX app and HomeKit. Adding directly to HomeKit appears supported but doesnā€™t work. Fails every single time. Adding to the Lifx app is thereby difficult since it requires adding to HomeKit first. There was apparently once a link you could tap for ā€œMy device doesnā€™t support HomeKitā€ but itā€™s not in the current version of the App and LIFX support hasnā€™t been updated to reflect this little change.

Iā€™m at a loss. Iā€™ve been able to add lights to Homekit; but my shortest time is around 1 hour to pull that off. At time point you have to get the app to recognize you have a problem and give you the ability to connect to the Lightbuld directly. If you can do that, it then connects, asks for the WiFi password, then completes process. Once you are done you can pair it to Homekit and it works fine. For one bulb i had to update the firmware but the rest were already current.

If someone can provide step by step that will work each and every time, sure would love it. So far I just canā€™t find a sure fire way to add. Taking an hour to add a bulb at best is just insane.
