On long-haul flights airlines often distribute hot towels. Whether they're towelettes in Economy/Coach or proper towels in Business Class, they usually smell of a refreshing mix of citrus and.. something else. The effect it has, hot, on my tired face and soul, can't be overstated.
I tried some lemon juice or oil but it's neither the exact aroma nor the strength it maintains on those towels. Any tips would be welcome.
If you’re trying to recreate that magic at home, try mixing a few drops of orange blossom water with a hint of lemon zest.
