A headphone jack on the top of the phone is almost as bad as no headphone jack. I don't understand why LG suddenly changed its placement with the V30 vs past phones. That cord hanging over the top was just so annoying to me so I found a solution using MacroDroid.
This flips the orientation 180° when I plug in my aux cable. I added the action for turning on auto rotate because forcing the orientation didn't work when auto rotate was off and I used the constraint that my car BT has to be connected so that it only triggers in my car.
To disable the forced orientation, I made a separate rule that cancels forced orientation anytime any headset is unplugged.
