I replaced the screen and frame on my G5.
And now the bluetooth keeps dropping connection and seems easier to lose signal. e.g. if the phone or bluetooth device passes behind a small obstruction, the audio gets choppy, when it didn't seem to have done that before.
I opened it back up and checked that any possible contacts between the front frame and the rear part of the housing were in good condition and they look like they should be connecting.
I gently cleaned the contacts with alcohol and reassembled.
I think the wifi may have improved, not that it was a problem, but the bluetooth is the same.
Because I'd taken the screen and frame from another phone (it doesn't work on my network, but I may be switching to its network anyway), I replaced the back with that of my parts phone.
And it has not improved.
I've tried it with multiple bluetooth devices and some are worse, but none work they way they did before the screen swap.
So, it's either something with the mobo, or something in the firmware/software.
I've tried searching google, but it seems that most of the hits returned were regarding the G5's generally crappy bluetooth.
So I'm hoping someone around here has some specific experience or knowledge that may apply.
Anyone?
Thanks in advance!
