First of all, am I losing anything, feature wise, from the G3 to the G5?

For instance, does the G5 have the Quick Remote app? It is something I have only used a few times on the G3, but I LOVE that's it's there, and when I have used it, I have been incredibly thankful for it.

Does it still support home screen widgets? I know that seems like a dumb question, but with the semi-removal of the app drawer, I worry a bit.

Will I be able to just take the SIM out of the G3 and pop it into the G5? Is switching that simple?

Is there a really good app for making a carbon copy backup on the G3 and restoring to the G5, which includes all text messages?

Will T-Mobile unlock my G3 so I can resell it to a friend on a different carrier? I bought it new, for retail price, as I am doing with the G5.
