Was I being too nervous?

I just had a chance to hookup with a guy from online. He told me he was in one neighborhood, then his address was in the next neighborhood over, which is less nice. Then, he told me we'd meet at his place and go to his friend's house nearby. The clincher was when I called and it was a Google Voice number. Am I being too nervous for not wanting to meet up with a guy if I don't have a real phone number or the address where I'll be?
