So my little sibling (10yrs) just told me that they think they're nonbinary (I am too). I replied with cool, good job on figuring yourself out. They replied with "oh I thought you would say that I was too young, and tell me I was wrong" I told them that when I came out to my older brother (21yrs) he told me I was too young to question if I liked girls as well as boys...I was 13. I didn't dare discuss my gender with my brother because he takes after my "father" and let's just say...they didn't take it well when I did come out. So I was happy that I could provide support to my little sibling, the kind of support I didn't have.
I told them that it was safer not to tell anyone else, and only tell mum when they're a little older, as my brother and "father" don't believe nonbinary people exist, and had a hard enough time accepting that I was ftm (I later realised I was nonbinary, however it was traumatic and I don't want to do it again).
I'm just so happy that I can be there for them. I also got my pride flags today.
They were bigger than I expected lol
Congratulations to your sibling!!! Sending lots of love you and them ❤️
