I came out to my fellow castmembers in the play, and one of them had THE best reaction. I was even more shocked because I'd really been hitting it off with him but been worried because he's very religious.
Him: "wait, so are you out?"
Me: "No."
Him: "Why not?"
Me: "My parents would kick me out. I'd be out on the streets."
Him: "Why would they care about their son being straight?"
Me: "What?"
Him: winks and looks around "Guys, what'd AnarchyAndEcstasy just say?"
A few people: "Nothing."
Him: "Exactly! You're safe here dude."
Sorry, but this is a big deal for me. I was SO SO terrified and I hadn't even planned to. It just slipped out. But I'm SO SO SO SO HAPPY! I don't feel like those friendships are based on lies anymore. I can be myself. <3
And none of them acted any different. We still sat together, joked around, faux flirted, cuddled, etc. I LOVE THIS :D
