If they really love you, they’ll stay by your side
Post Body

First of all, sorry for the crappy English—I'm Argentinian, so it isn't my first language. I'm not sure if this is the right place to post something like this, but I wanted to share the experience I had today.

I'm 20M and a closeted bisexual. Today, I came out to my friends from university, a bunch of straight guys. I was terribly afraid of what they would think, as I'm studying Engineering, and those kinds of environments tend to be a bit homophobic and sexist here in Argentina.

I was really surprised by their reaction: they were incredibly supportive and said a lot of great things to me. One of them even told me I was really brave and that I should feel proud about it. I wasn’t expecting such maturity from them. We were all really open to talking, and they made me feel comfortable and included. I'm just so happy right now.

I wanted to share this story for anyone afraid of coming out. You can take all the time you need, but the important thing is that the people who truly matter will always support you. If they don’t, then they weren’t worth it to begin with. If they really love you, they’ll stay by your side.
