Cis gay guy here. Ok, so why is it so common for trans people, especially FTM trans men, to have mid-life sexuality changes?

I’ve heard about so many trans men say their sexual affinity towards men completely changed once they started HRT and it never went away.

Is there a scientific explanation for why/how hormones affect sexual attraction/sexuality? Anyone have scientific studies/peer-reviewed journal submissions that explore this phenomenon? I just find that fascinating lol.
