Even though, I have been living here in sydney for past 4 years, i (23f) really havent been able to find the community or even dates until recently. I tried early on when I arrived here but just couldnt and kinda gave up. It might be because I was extremely introverted and only enjoyed staying in and enjoying my own company.
But now I dont want to do that anymore. I wanna go outside. Find my self some lgbt friends and constant dates that i can go on. Untill now its just been the community here on reddit which has helped me learn a lot about the community but still i feel very alone in this straight world. I dont mean I have no friends, I do but they are all straight. I wanna have friends with whom i can go pride to. Who will understand the things i am going through. And just can hangout and go to approach girls together or similar stuff.
Finally after long time, out of nowhere i met a girl from dating app which had never happened to me, even tho i was on them all these years. I manage to get her to like me and we also had sex. But its casual and kinda hurts a bit but I myself want to explore other people as well. It seems like she is getting other people to go out with but me left here again lonely with no contact to lgbt world.
I know the few ways that u could get involved in lgbt community like volunteering but I wonder if there's more to it. Or any other way that i don't know yet which will get me more involved and meet my kind of peoples. And maybe go on dates and experience more and have fun?
So please please if any people here from sydney can help me with this would be very appreciated 🙌🙏😊
