Lost Mines of Phandelver - 5 Player Seats Available - $15/session

Hello all I am will be running a game of Lost Mines for players of all experience! My name is James and I've been DMing for well over 3 years now. I am hoping to find some players who are new to the hobby or have had a hard time finding a game. As a DM I follow the rules as written for the majority, but also have a few homebrew rules that make the game more fun for everyone. I personally enjoy a healthy balance of RP and combat, but love seeing how players decide to interact with the various NPCs of the world.

As a paid DM, it will be my personal job to not only guide your group through the adventure and create a narrative with you, but also assist in guiding you, helping you from character creation to finale, and explaining how to play D&D to those who are new to the game.

The ideal applicants for this game will meet any of the following criteria below:

  • New to D&D and/or tabletop games in general and excited to get your feet wet!
  • Have had bad experiences finding consistent and enjoyable games
  • Intermediate or veteran players who are tired of having their games cancelled due to inconsistent players and DMs
  • Looking for a fun game of D&D with a like-minded group of players who are striving to create a combined narrative
  • Group of 4-5 people looking to find a consistent DM that will cater to the narrative they are looking to play

If you meet any of the above please feel free to apply to the campaign.

The difficulty of finding a good and consistent game is a headache from both sides of the DM screen. It's almost impossible to find a group of likeminded individuals. The worst is thinking you've found the group for you to scratch that itch, and it ends up falling through right before the day of play comes! I am offering to run a paid game, to the dedicated excited players who are looking for that rare consistent game.

As a paid DM the biggest benefit you get is consistency and guaranteed effort. Payment for each session ensures that the players and DM show up for each session barring major life events. Not only will you be getting consistency, but newer players will also have the added benefit of being guided through not only character creation, but also rule explanations and game mechanics that may be obscure!

Session 0 will be free for all players, and I will be limiting the game to 4-5 players so that we can really focus and make sure everyone has an amazing experience and is able to equally take part in the narrative. I will be running the game in Foundry VTT, which is free for all players to access, this will also include dynamic lighting, ambient/fight music, and full dndbeyond integration. On my Foundry I have the full compendium of pretty much all source material for you to choose from when it comes to character creation! As for specifics on character creation it will be simply limited to official WoTC material, there will be no homebrew, no UA, and etc.

For groups of players that were considering this post, if Lost Mines is not the module you were looking to run we can discuss (with a full group of 4-5) possible running another official module such as Curse of Strahd, Storm King's Thunder, Descent into Avernus, or etc.

If you are interested in taking a seat please send me a private message here or on Discord at Maz#5699, with the following information:

What experience do you have with D&D/TTRPGs in general?

What is your character idea or role that you would ideally like to play? If you don't have any clue as of now we can discuss it further!

Are you applying as a single player, or on behalf of a group?

The price per session is $15 a session per player. Session length will be 3 hours.
