The spellplague was a terrible thing to happen to the whole universe, from the smallest ant to the most powerful of gods were affected by it. Obviously, spellcasters are much weaker than they were about seven hundred years ago. Still, one thing that seemingly is forgotten by time or just simply ignored was that martials were also affected by this they were known by many names, bloodclaw masters, Crusaders, Master of nine, and even swordsages. All were stripped of their legendary status due to the hubris of a single nation, or at least that is what it was believed. As all of it was powered by a sacred source which flows through all life like the weave, KI is what's it called and when mixed with the stamina of living being could create effects that could even work in a place devoid of magic! This art was lost but could be restored by training under the manual known as the Tome of Battle better known under the name the Book of Ki. With five of these books staying after the spellplague one was destroyed, another in the deepest bowels of a Githyanki base, one other in the hands of a tyrannical orc warlord, the fourth in the library in Mechanus.

The last being in the possession of your monk sanctuary where hundreds lived, thrived and trained. A place of your childhood however disaster struck when six of the most prestigious students betrayed the sanctuary, murdered the master, and left with the book with every monk in the place dying trying to stop this band of traitors from escaping. Well almost you were too young, too frail, too cowardly to stop them. Hiding away while friends, family, peers were left to rot. Piles of carrion left after that day finding you lot to be the only survivors you each had a bit of training before and now what you have to do now is get your revenge, return the book and hopefully return to peace. It has been 8 years and now you all begin to think you're ready

Sup, thanks for reading that whole thing its basically the plot hook. I've been watching too much Baki, playing too much Sifu and I fucking need to get to DMing a Monk only game! Almost any race of course, this will be in the forgotten realms (I mean the hook of ki is a homebrew thing we will be using it is basically something like the tome of battle of 3.5) Here is the homebrew book!

I'm thinking this should be a voice campaign with roll20 as the VTT (Can't use foundry don't ask). But I might make this Text or a mix idk! Of course this would be taken place sundays or Tuesdays. I'm doing this game because I'm getting my balls busted by My own DM and I need some power fantasy.

Some character creation rules
Level 6 Monk!
1 free feat at level 1
Stats are 4d6 drop 1 reroll 1s
Honor stat (Its a cool as fuck rule if you ever read the DMG)
no satyr, hexblood, Dhampire, any race that can fly, spiritfolk, some others as well
Must love character building because this book basically gives you stuff and I don't want to baby sit people. So if you're sure you can handle it or are experienced great, if not this game isn't for you.
Mercy monk is banned, not because it's strong but because the hand of healing and harm of level 3 is now part of the monk base kit! But only the level 3 version.
Astral Self is banned, not because it's broken but because it wouldn't fit much here you know?
