Hello! My name is Biz, and I run an actual-play tabletop podcast called Throwing Bones. I'm 22, I'm queer, and I live in Texas. I am currently pursuing an online degree in music after some time on-campus at Berklee College of Music. I've been DM-ing since 2014.

I intend for this project to be long-term, slowly building a fanbase that we will interact with intimately and with constant gratitude. Ideally, it will provide some income after it gains notoriety. On the off chance it becomes widely popular, there is a preference for people who are willing to shift things in their life to put more time and effort into the podcast and being an entertainer.

We are currently playing the "Monster of The Week" system.

Throwing Bones is a collaborative storytelling podcast; We utilize tabletop gaming systems to create fun, diverse, and meaningful stories. We are a group of actors, writers, and gamers who believe in the power of storytelling as a medium to create empathy and geniune connection. Our hope is to touch on the human experience through fantastical and often times poetic stories.

We had to let a player go because they weren't able to commit fully to the project, after recording our session 0 and first 3 episodes. Before applying, make sure you meet all the criteria below:

Must-Haves:

• A microphone separate from your computer. A headset is acceptable as long as the audio quality is decent. To check this yourself, record your voice and listen back (the better your microphone, the better chance you have at being chosen)
• Discord and Roll20
• Enjoys storytelling, humor, and exploring their character as much as or more than combat and game mechanics
• Available to record every week on Saturdays at 10 AM CDT
• Decent internet with minimal to no drops
• Quiet space for recording. If other people are around, they must respect that it is your recording time (If there are constant loud noises/appliances in your room, it won't work)
• Open-minded; Not racist, anti-LGBTQ, sexist, ableist, etc.
• Willing to dedicate time every week to the project. Missing sessions must be kept to an absolute minimum, and you need to be available to chat about the project during the week
• New or experienced with any tabletop systems
• 17 years old
• Willing to either be in charge of certain tasks and carry equal responsibility in the group
• Willing and enthusiastic to explore hard topics such as mental illness, addiction, the experiences of minorities, etc.

Optional/Want-Haves:

• Artist/Creative type
• Audio editor
• Diverse background
• Good with social media
• Experience in any related fields
• Listener of many podcasts
• Knowledgeable about podcast etiquette
• Characteristics/identities not currently represented in the podcast.

1. Biz, a caucasian, 22-year-old, cisgender female who identifies as queer and a relationship anarchist(polyamorous)
2. Kyle, a 19-year-old trans male who identifies as gay
3. Cooper, a 27-year-old cisgender male who identifies as bisexual
