One of my players had to drop due to time differences so im looking for one person to join. we play on sunday at 6pm est. the party is evil btw.
Hello My name is Brandon. Im 25. Been playing d&d since I was 18. I have a few years of experience dming but only one-shot mods. I took a long break for a few years but now I want to play again. 3.5 is the system I've played the most of but I started and fell in love with d&d on 4th edition. I've played 2nd, 3.5, 4th, pathfinder, call of cathulu and a few other obscure ones I cant recall.
I will be running a campaign I found online that I liked. The system will Be 3.5 but there will be some noticeable differences. I buffed all the classes and changed some of the core rules that I think are just kinda dumb. Theres probably some stuff I left out but if you have any questions please let me know.
We will be using discord for voice and roll20. We plan on doing this either sat or sun. As of right now I only have one person, my best friend. Im trying to get my boyfriend to play but its tbd.
I want my party to have fun first and foremost so if there is a rule I made that the party would like me to change speak up. You're free to try and change my mind on a ruling, I can be persuaded, but at the end of the day what I decide goes. Ill let you do things that make since but the rules might not allow.
All roleplay levels are welcome. I will be doing voices and stuff so if you dont like or feel uncomfortable with that this is your warning.
As for what im looking for in a player is just a few simple things.
1.Know how to have a good time. There is a good time for seriousness and goofyness, keep a good balance.
- Being able to distinguish your knowledge from your characters knowledge, this is my trigger.
Just because you know that scorpions are poisonous doesnt mean your barbarian that cant even read knows that a scorpion hes never even seen before is poisonous.
Just because I tell you to make a will save does not mean your character knows someones casting a spell on them.
Be a team player. I cant stand people that never want to go with the partys plans or contribute. If your a lone wolf type then this is not for you.
Don' t get too caught up in the roleplaying. Don't be that guy always saying, "Its what my character would do tho."
don't mind being railroaded a bit. you have free will with how you interact with npcs, your environment, and your encouters.
I'm accepting players of all levels. If you are new to 3.5, especially people new to dnd period, I only ask that you would be willing to spend some time with me learning about the mechanics of the game and how to play your character. Theres a lot of stuff in 3.5 and it can be a little overwhelming at points. I have plenty of free time so dont worry.
If you are interested leave a reply. Include in the message
- your name
- your tabletop experience
- your character idea
- something that you like from a DM and other players or something that you would like(if you've never played).
- something that your could not stand from a Dm and other players
- your favorite moment in an adventure or video game or movie or whatever.
I would like you to stay within the material I have for you but if there is something you would like to use that isn't in my changes please dont be afraid to ask, ill probably say yes. If your finding it hard to make a certain character concept you have in mind tell me. We will find a way to make it work. Im not gonna let the rules say theres something your character can NEVER do, they're more like guidelines anyway. Im not big on character restrictment. Ill let you do anything you want(within reason plz) as long it can be balanced.
No you can't play a desert summoner summoning 64 HD worth of sand golems sorry. Play a monk :)
