In the beginning there was Creation. Creation viewed the cosmos as an infinite expanse to be filled. Creation brought forth Light (Lyt), and gave her the world of Melar to put forth her vision. Melar was populated by a human race, un-established and barbaric. Light gave the world a divine touch, creating civilization where there was none. Years passed and the world of Melar flourished, the race of humans expanding and reveling in a great time of peace. Then Darkness grew envious.

Darkness spawned out of the same essence that created Light. Filling the voids where she was not, touching her creations with malice and corruption. For millennia Light and Darkness fought with the power of gods, their conflict escalating more and more until the world of Melar was a fragment of what Creation had made. Creation looked upon his children with disdain, he could not understand the destruction they had sowed. Having enough he created a prison and trapped Darkness and Light and all of their creations together to fight out their eternal battle without destroying the world anymore then they already had, he called this prison the Soul Stone. Creation drew from the soul of the world and rose a massive city from the ground. He took the souls of the fallen and created giant golem like shells, tasking them with a singular directive: defend the prison at all cost.

Creation looked upon Melar with sadness. The world was desolate and barren. Civilizations had crumbled and the whole of humanity had perished. Creation walked the parapets of his prison, yearning to create again but no one entity should have the power that Light or Darkness had. He decided to spread the power among 8 pure elements, preventing one from reaching a pinnacle of power like his previous creations. He stood among his newborn children and gave them 2 directives: Each child will be given a part of the world equal to his siblings, you will have 8 days and then you must leave this world, create in your imagine. Creation took the Soul Stone and set it to a slow spin, placing it in the center of the city. “And the second command father?” Asked the children in unison. Creation smiled and vanished.

The first 100 years of the new world was chaos. The elements slowly overlapped but the pure Genasi and powerful dragonborn shown through. It took about 200 years but the Genasi established vast settlements across their elements and began warring with their neighbors. The city of souls was a refuge but nothing more. By the 300th year elves, gnomes, dwarves, gith, and the yuanti began claiming areas as their numbers swelled. By the 500th year halflings, tabaxi, lizardmen, and the giant descendants the goliaths started to have purchase. The world is still much in its fledgling age as the races define themselves and find purchase in what is still an untamed world. The year is 624 AC. The City of souls still only serves as a refuge but guilds are starting to form. Ruins of old are still prevalent in the land and the mines of earth and metal are digging deeper into the darkness. The forests of the yuan-ti and elves grow stronger with their magics and the desolate lands of death begin to radiate power. The Genasi courts know a singular truth though, this world was meant for them and them alone.

The campaign will start in the north eastern part of the world, the great "Sea of Sins", a massive body of water that extends into the horizons. The group currently has 4 players and have agreed on a treasure finding, swashbuckling, pirating adventure and have come up with some colorful and unique characters. Right now we are looking for up to 2 additions to fill a strict 7:00 PM (19:00) EST weekly game on Saturdays. The party has requested a pure caster or two as they currently lack a dedicated caster. All applicants will be considered by the group as a whole and if accepted I will invite you to the discord to talk to the group. All applicants will be requested to fill out a 50 question questionnaire to help me understand your character. Homebrew and UA is allowed on a case by case basis but Eberron and MTG are currently not allowed. There are NO HUMANS or HALF RACES. We started with a brief session 0 this past Saturday but will be getting into the full swing of things on the 20th.
