LFG Online (have headset) or Offline

I'm a 21 year old weird/quirky/nerdy engineering student and I've never played D&D or and other tabletop rpgs before but the past couple of months I have become addicted to Geek & Sundry's rpg content. I even created a couple of characters in the hopes of joining a group of friends in their campaign but it disbanded after a couple of them moved away. I'm willing to re-roll the six main stats if you think my characters are overpowered. The character I'm looking forward to playing most is a wood-elf Eldritch knight fighter. I’m looking for a group that is willing to introduce a new player to the game (preferably 5e because that’s what I’ve been reading/watching but whatever). I would really like to start a new campaign at level 1 because I am brand new to D&D but I'm cool at starting at whatever level. Preferred times would be between Friday afternoons/evenings and Sunday evenings on a weekly basis.
