Hello all,
I'm really excited to post here about a new Curse of Strahd game I'm planning on running soon. I've been DMing for about 15 years now, and I love creating awesome stories with my players who are motivated to play and who are reliable to join and play through the whole campaign. I'm looking for 4 to 5 people who would be dedicated to a campaign.
Iβm planning on running the module with the Shadowdark ruleset that fits the gritty/gothic vibe of CoS. Itβs very similar to 5e and a little more rules light.
My DMing style is somewhat similar to Matt Mercer in spirit, I love doing silly voices and making each other laugh. As a DM, I live for players having in-character scenes and dialogue and making creative character decisions. Not a fan of power-gaming, rules-lawyering, or meta-gaming in my groups.
I'm planning on editing a few aspects of Curse of Strahd, mostly to make things a little more fun or interesting. But I'll be keeping all of the core elements.
This is an 18 game with a slight preference to people nearish my age - I'm 29! Newer players are welcome to apply, though a little experience might be nice :)
So far, I've had really good experiences with people here on LFG. I haven't had any serious issues with any racism/sexism/homophobia, which I definitely want to keep that way. We'll talk about lines and veils once we get the group together - CoS can be dark, but there are definitely things in general I don't want to have in any of my D&D games.
I'm super excited to hear from everyone, and to run Strahd! I'm planning on going through the entire module, please keep that in mind when applying.
