My wife and I are in the process of updating our kitchen (remodel is too strong of a word) and want to have our countertops replaced with wood/butcher block. Does anyone have a contractor or company they can vouch for for a job like this? We haven't had much luck getting responses from some of the bigger companies out there, I think because our job is relatively small and we're looking at probably buying the materials ourselves and just contracting someone to tear out the old and install the new.
Before I continue calling around or just settle for whoever Home Depot subcontracts with I thought I'd check here to see if anyone had any suggestions.
Thanks!
