My first dosage and I feel like complete trash

I’m 22f and I’ve never been on any kind of SSRI in my life. I’ve now been prescribed 10mg of escitalopram. I decided to take it at night before I went to bed so I could possibly sleep through the side effects. I didn’t. I was waking up a lot and when I got up for work today, I’ve had constant nausea and a headache now.

I’m already struggling to find the motivation to keep going. I’m scared the next two weeks aren’t going to do anything and the anxiety and the intrusive thoughts are real etc.

Any words of advice from anyone? I’ve never been on any kind of medication before apart from antibiotics so this is really new to me.
