What is /r/letsplay's view on piracy?
Post Body

Recently i have seen a fair few topics on things like "cheap recording software" or "cheap editing software" and I was wondering why not just pirate it. Personally I have pirated editing software. I first got my self a copy of camtasia studio then when that started derping I got Sony Vegas 13. The reason why is because I'm not going to spend $100 on a software I may not use if I decide to stop making lps. In fact most of my lping stuff is pirated. Dxtory, Sony Vegas, audacity (although that might be free not sure) but I do pay for the games. I know people will say support the makers but at the end of the day I'm a student and if I spend £300 on recording and editing software i wont be able to afford anything else.

So the question is have you or would you pirate editing or recording software?

Does it annoy you if someone does?

Do you think pirate lpers are as respectable as non-pirates?

EDIT: so it turns out that most people disapprove of piracy in general. One question I have left which I forgot earlier is: is there a difference between pirating recording and during softwar eand pirating games. If someone does an lp of a clearly pirated game will you turn off due to it or would you not care
