Been looking at starting some LPing. I have everything set up - a nice rig with lots of RAM and a good video card so I can record 1080p, a 3TB hard drive to store Fraps footage, etc.

Unfortunately, my headset (an old Creative Fatal1ty) has finally stopped working (or rather, it works as headphones, but trying to record with the microphone requires me to constantly shout to just barely be heard, and there's a ton of static... which I assume is not the sort of thing that would sound good on a LP).

So, suggestions? I can afford to spend a bit of money, so I'd like to see what the best bang for my buck can be.

And apologies if this has been asked before; I did some searching and couldn't find any recent headset suggestion threads, mostly people asking technical questions about their current headsets.

EDIT: I've gone with the Plantronics headset recommended by ReplayTyHeretic. Thanks for the suggestions everyone!
