I heard that in both deep friendships and relationships, common values are usually more important than common interests - so I am going to focus on that.

Beliefs we share

• How one treats the people around them is really, really important. Perhaps the most important thing.
• One of the most lasting and reliable sources of joy in life comes from helping, loving, being kind to, and appreciating the beauty in others - especially those who seem to deserve it the least
• Even though boundaries are hard, they are good for everyone
• Open communication, positivity, and gratitude are pretty important
• It is important to be financially self-sufficient. The minimalist life is pretty great.
• Staying busy with meaningful work is important. Routines help.
• It is important to listen to and expose one's self to different perspectives

Really, as long as we share many of these values, whatever you like to do, I am down with it!!

I will smile as you mercilessly defeat me at literally any video game, dance with you to your favorite music, care for you and your critters, laugh/cry with you as we watch your favorite movies, eat the food you love to make and/or make the food you love to eat, or <basically anything else>.

Other Stuff About Me

• Born intersex and am transfem (for many years). Long blonde hair and light blue eyes.
• I am usually shy/quiet (and painfully awkward at first, esp in person). Intellectual on the outside, but inside, I am deeply emotional. The INFJ personality generalization describes a lot about me.
• My day job is an internet/network engineer. Most of my free time is spent volunteering for/with people who are homeless and hospice patients - and hiking.
• I do not smoke or drink, and have no kids
• I am a hybrid (i.e. I run on [audio]books, and tea). ~1250 books so far, and I am not going to admit how much tea I drink, haha
• I do like a routine (maybe to excess), and can be too hard on myself. I am really trying to be better.
