tl;dr: I'm a writer, so sometimes I'm wordy. If the thought of reading this makes you cringe, we probably won't vibe.

The basics:

I work and mom 2 teens full time (read: not the most spontaneous), and am passionate about making beautiful things, from art to photos to my main squeeze, writing (mostly memoir/nonfiction essay). If you make my heart flutter, I’ll probably write a poem about you. I'm a late-in-life queer, as in 2 years ago I thought I was straight, and now it's become very apparent that I am SO not. I'm polyamorous and not interested in monogamy, I have 2 partners right now but room for so much more in my life.

I’m fascinated by the human capacity to create such beautiful things and terrible things all at once. My heart craves deep, engaging, comfortable connections that flow naturally into exploration and intimacy. The best way to seduce me is with potential, make me laugh then stoke the fire with shared vulnerability and anticipation.

I don't believe that pleasure and love must come with piles of expectations. Longevity or steps up some arbitrary relationship escalator do not dictate the strength, worthiness, or value of a connection. I've found love in one night or after years of friendship. I’ll never ask you to be anything but 100% you - I’m not interested in suppressing parts of myself, and I don’t want my partners to have to either.

My greatest joy is creating love, joy, and silliness. I'm an empath, and I have to seek joy and wonder every day to keep myself from despairing about our dumpster fire world too much. I have recently experienced a heartbreaking ending, and it's been hard, but it's also reinforced a lot of things. That I'm growing, that I don't have the same instinct to close myself off that I used to, that I'm so grateful for the love I still have, and that love is always worth it.

About You/Us:

In a partner, I am looking for someone playful, sweet, and emotionally intelligent. I do best with people who are creative or passionate in some way - whether it's making art, music, cooking beautiful food, or being a wizard with plants or car engines. I want to see the spark in your eye while you tell me about your new ideas and projects. I am committed to personal growth, and if you're not able to grow alongside me, the relationship will probably have an expiration date. I don't really care about your gender, but that being said if you're a cis man you're going to have to work harder for it (I'm worth it).

There are infinite ways to connect with people, but some of the ones I’m looking for right now are folks who love texting throughout the day/week, and people nearby who are interested in physical intimacy and pleasure.

Dealbreakers: I am uncomfortable dating most people under 27 or so years old, and it would be immensely helpful if you are able to have company and hang out with me at your place. If you can never host it will really limit things. I am interested in monogamy or riding a relationship escalator into the marriage sunset.
