I was born intersex, though the transfem label mostly fits as well. About that, I want to say that I appreciate being allowed to post here at all. It is not something I take for granted, so thank-you.

I have my own interests of course (volunteering with the homeless/hospice, hiking, reading, and more recently running), but shared values are far more important to me.

I believe in working hard on ourselves and for ourselves, the power of kindness, the importance of hope, that joy is found in simple moments of connection, and that the deepest and most lasting happiness comes from helping others.

The longer I am alive, the more I am impressed by people who reach out in concern and kindness to the things/people around them -- who care about improving the world, and who try to interact with others in a way that brings out the best. Seeing someone do that absolutely makes me swoon.

Really though, I am just a imperfect person who tries, and often falls short of her own ideals. But plus side of that is that I have no desire that you will be anyone other than your trying self, either. Maybe I am odd, but I find that the most wonderful aspects of a person are all beautifully tangled up in their insecurities, vulnerabilities, and imperfections. We can be imperfect people who are stubbornly and persistently good to one another, love one another's damaged parts, and share joy in the process of life.
