I am a demi cis woman in my late thirties and have mostly dated hetero cis men, but would like to date more women, which I haven't done since I was in my mid twenties. I have also been thinking of being open to hook ups with women. I am exploring solo poly so most likely would try to do this within the poly community.

Are there any safety tips anyone could provide that you usually do? Also anything you notice as red flags? I was searching for info on intimate partner violence for wlw, but apparently there's no research on it. I am pretty new to the queer scene as well as poly so also don't really have any friends who could guide me in this area.
