New leopard gecko owner, advice/tips?
Post Body

I convinced one of my college professors to get a leopard gecko as a class pet, I’m mostly in charge of it and I handle it the most. We’ve had it about a week and so far I can pick it up but it screams a lot when I try and scoop my hand under it, but it’s fine if I just pick it up and sit it on my hand? Is that normal? Will it ever just walk onto my hand?

It’s in a 39 gallon tank with heating and 4 hides, it’s currently being fed mealworms and sometimes crickets.

I know it’s not fully grown but don’t know the exact age I was also told it’s too young to know it’s gender.
