Randomly hiding

I’ve had Locky 2 weeks now and all of a sudden he’s discovered his humid hide. The problem is I can’t get him to come out, even for feedings. He eats like it’s going out of fashion and is pooping each day (in what was meant to be his cold hide), so I don’t think anything’s wrong.
Is it common for Leo’s to randomly decide they love a specific place? Last week he wouldn’t leave his hot hide and now this
