Hair trim for women that doesn't cost your first born child?

A friend of mine wants to get a hair trim (just an inch off the end, nothing fancy) but doesn't want to pay a bomb for it. Most hairdressers seem to want to charge a minimum of £30.
Does anyone know of any hairdressers that will do this for a reasonable price (around the £10 mark)?
