Therapy recommendations?

I've been thinking about seeing a therapist in-person for some time now and fortunately I'm able to afford one, at least for a few sessions. However I'm not completely sure on the process. I was thinking of just browsing the bacp directory online and contacting someone and take it from there. However I was wondering if anyone is seeing anyone specific that they would recommend?
