In early to mid April I'll be moving up to Leicester from Essex and leaving everyone behind. My partner and I have recently had a child and as she's originally from Leicester she understandably whats to be where her family and friends are.

I already have a new job sorted that'll be starting when I move but I'll be leaving all my family and friends behind. Rather than piggybacking on her group of friends I would rather make my own and fairly quickly. I'm a 30 year old male and was hoping you could all help me with places or events to attend in order to easily socialise and meet new people. As far meeting people at work, that sounds easier than it is. I'll be joining a small team of mostly older females and would rather meet people a similar age to me.
