As the title says, I snagged a few sets recently at a great price - one being a UCS R2-D2.
They belonged to a younger kid who was no longer interested in Lego and were dusty but looked in good shape.
What I didn’t do was ask or check to see if the sets were glued (because what monster does that). When I went to take them apart to clean and rebuild I discovered the horror.
I did manage to salvage some parts with patiently prying with a razor blade at the expense of my thumbs but hopefully this lesson I l armed saves someone else the pain of finding a good deal is really a trap
