What it boils down to, is that they introduced breakable items into LoZ with shields when they released Skyward Sword. To me, that was unnecessary. I understand wanting to make the games more challenging but it can be done in other ways other than adding a feature that contradicts the true integrity of LoZ. There's other ways they could've made the series harder. Majora's Mask for instance, is the hardest LoZ game I've played and all they did was include 2 original songs, turned 1 of them into 3 different songs, and added a time limit to complete each task/temple. Didn't have to change any of the item mechanics. If they really wanted to make it a challenge, quit giving us so many bomb bag and quiver upgrades, and make bomb and aarow drop rates lower. I'll probably not play a new title(remakes not included) until they bring the old item mechanics back. I just don't believe LoZ has any business having breakable items in it.
