[Hypothetical] Eviction Difficulty - Chicago/NYC

Post Body

If my landlord wanted me evicted from my apartment (assuming less than legal ways), where is the ideal city for me to live in (when the process starts) if I don't want to move in the first place, Chicago or New York City?

Rephrase of the above: If I, as a tenant, am doing everything proper in fulfilling the lease, but the landlord is bound and determined to evict me and isn't above doing things illegal, where would I, as the tenant, have to live to be afforded the best protection legally, Chicago or New York City?
