Would the Secret Service be legally required to prevent POTUS from committing suicide?
Post Body
Per 18 U.S.C. ยง 3056a, the Secret Service is authorized and required to protect the President of the United States - current presidents are unable to refuse such protection. If the President were to attempt to commit suicide, would the Secret Service be legally required to prevent him from doing so? Assume that the President is fully conscious while such an attempt is being made.
