People who commit sexual assault but have a disability.. question
Post Body

Iā€™m in Canada, Ontario. There is someone i saw on the news who recently got charged with sexual interference and sexual assault because they allegedly sexually assaulted a child on a bus. This person has some sort of a disability. Either autism or possibly FADS or something else, but there is something there for sure because an acquaintance knows him. he also did acknowledge online that he has a mental illness. in this case, could he get away with it? If he would still go to jail, would he be put in a special protection program/unit?

How does it work in Ontario when it comes to this type of stuff? There is a court date but that's not for now.

Thanks.
