So this was a few years ago, and it just happened to pop into my head and I'm curious now what would of happened.
Back when I lived with my parent in Virginia, I had a fight with her on the last day of school and said I was going to school, skipping the details she threatened to call the cops and report me as a runaway if I went.
My question is, would I have been in trouble if she had done that? I simply wanted to go to school, and didn't intend to not come home. I was 17, almost 18 within a month or so. What is the legality around it? There was a lot of emotional abuse at the time, and school was my break from it.
Edit: another peice of information I forgot about that might effect it, is she tried to accuse me of assault that day when I was defending myself from her trying to get into my room, I did not hurt her, I simply grabbed her to stop her. I feel that could also have effects on it.
