I see this often in the other sub when people are commenting on a post. I understand why someone might say this, but is there actually any legal recourse that could be used if someone didn’t include the “not your lawyer” part? Like this is Reddit ffs, are we not all in agreement that anything anyone comments can’t actually be used against the commenter?
In other words, if a commenter gives advice starting off with “I’m a lawyer, [insert advice]” without saying “but not your lawyer,” could that commenter be sued or something if their advice was bad or incorrect?
