Post Body

When I originally split with my exH he remained in the matrimonial home. I began renting and when our children began school they went in his district since he had a permanent address.

I eventually purchased my own home, not in his district but maintained the same school in our joint custody. (I personally drove them during my time)

Our separation / divorce agreement clearly states that all decisions with schooling etc is to be made jointly. No one party has control over the other.

Yesterday he emailed that he's purchased a new home due to his step child being kicked out of their current school district and it potentially causing issues eventually with our own children.

His new home is even further from my current residence and will cause even further financial hardship for myself. (he is the higher earner and our agreement has no geographical limitations other than remaining in our municipality)

Since I've been in my home over three years my children have developed friendships and ties to my current community and I feel if they switch schools it should be into my own since with him transporting them during his custodial time. The transition would be far smoother than them starting an entirely new school the 1st of December.

I've sent out several emails to lawyers since it is a time sensitive matter but am I out to lunch with this idea? I don't know what other options I have.
